How to Setup SPF for Freshdesk?

The Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an email authentication system that detects forged sender addresses while the email is being delivered. SPF, on the other hand, is confined to detecting a forged sender claim in the email’s envelope, which is used when it bounces.

Follow these simple steps to set up SPF on your Freshdesk account :

  • Log in to your DNS management console and go to your Domain settings under DNS configuration settings.
  • Under TXT, set up a new SPF record or modify the existing one as follows :

               In case you have an existing SPF record, add include:email.freshdesk.com  to the existing record.

For example, if your previous record was:

 v=spf1 include:._spf.google.com ~all,

your new record should look like this:

v=spf1 include:._spf.google.com include:email.freshdesk.com ~all

            If you don’t have an existing SPF record, add the following as the new record :

v=spf1 include:email.freshdesk.com ~all and publish it.

After doing that, verify your records using our free SPF lookup tool.
