The Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an email authentication system that detects forged sender addresses while the email is being delivered. SPF, on the other hand, is confined to detecting a forged sender claim in the email’s envelope, which is used when it bounces.
Follow these simple steps to set up SPF on your Freshdesk account :
- Log in to your DNS management console and go to your Domain settings under DNS configuration settings.
- Under TXT, set up a new SPF record or modify the existing one as follows :
In case you have an existing SPF record, add include:email.freshdesk.com to the existing record.
For example, if your previous record was:
v=spf1 include:._spf.google.com ~all,
your new record should look like this:
v=spf1 include:._spf.google.com include:email.freshdesk.com ~all
If you don’t have an existing SPF record, add the following as the new record :
v=spf1 include:email.freshdesk.com ~all and publish it.
After doing that, verify your records using our free SPF lookup tool.
