How to Setup SPF for Sparkpost?

The Sender Policy Framework (SPF) is an email authentication system that detects forged sender addresses while the email is being delivered. SPF, on the other hand, is confined to detecting a forged sender claim in the email’s envelope, which is used when it bounces.

Sparkpost uses your domain in send form, enabling it to handle your bounces for you automatically.

To configure the return path on Sparkpost, follow these steps :

  • Log in to your Sparkpost account and go to the Domains page.
  • To set up your bounce domain, you will have to modify your DNS records.
  • Find the CNAME mentioned under Bounce. Copy the record and paste it into your DNS.
  • Wait for your DNS to process the changes and, after that, verify the domains on Sparkpost.
